sidebar Over a decade ago our young couple met during a simple church service at the Wheaton Evangelical Free Church. The sky was clear and the weather was pleasant. Little did they know that they'd met the person who would become the man/woman of their dreams.
From that very moment on throughout high school, they became the best of friends. As they got older, their lives grew more hectic. They business and stresses of their teenage years fell upon them, though it only strengthened their relationship.
Finally, one sweet and snowy night, the pair professed their true love for each other. And day after day the two only grew closer. Almost a year passed and life became busy again. The couple both found jobs, a full college schedule, and family obligations. Foolishly they let go of the one they loved most, thinking it for the best.
Another year went by with the young pair separated. Then another. And another. But distance could not dim their love. As they grew into adulthood and finally started to mature, they found each other again.
The love that they had for each other is greater. Their relationship is now based on trust, communication, patience, forgiveness, and a love for God. Never before have they been this close. Never before has their friendship been so strong. And every day, as new challenges or obligations arise, this particular pair only grows closer.
And I promise I will love her. Forever and for always. No Matter What.
